Location: Islas Ballesteras, Paracas, Peru.

Identification

Grey, dark on head and neck, white spots on back, grey chest and abdomen, dark primaries, white spot to both sides of the neck, yellow bill with red-orange base. Red-orange legs.

Distribution

Argentina, Chile, Falkland Islands, and Peru.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species1.

Habitat

Shallow seas and rocky shores.

Behaviour

It nests on rocks or cliffs projecting, and 3 white eggs are laid.
