There are 5 subspecies[1]:
- A. m. magna:
- Himalayas (Garhwal to northern Burma and south-western China and Malay Peninsula)
- A. m. aurata: East and central Burma
- A. m. musarum:
- A. m. pagodarum:
- A. m. remota:
- Southern Vietnam
Habitat
Moist lowland forests and montanes.
