Distribution
Southern Central and northern South America
Central America: occurs only in Panama
South America: Colombia and Venezuela
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- V. e. mutabilis:
- V. e. eximius:
- Tropical northern Colombia and north-western Venezuela (Zulia and Táchira)
Habitat
Generally found in the lowlands in humid forest and tall second-growth woodland.
Behaviour
Diet
There is little known about their diet, but they glean in the canopy. It is thought they eat much the same foodstuff as Green Shrike-Vireo.
