CL8x25 back from Swarovski (1 Viewer)

I bought some CL8x25's back in the spring, just fantastic pocket binos, the whole package, including the case is perfect.
I then also bought some Zeiss FL8x56's mint, as new condition, but felt that the collimation was a fraction out. I got these serviced at East Coast Optics, and they came back perfect. They said they were so slightly out, he was surprised I'd noticed, but it just niggled me enough to get them seen to. Job Done!!
After this, my CL8x25's appeared to be a fraction out, which I hadn't noticed before, but I couldn't get my eyes settled perfectly with them.
There was also a slight bit of friction in one area of the focus wheel which although minor, kind of annoyed me being Swarovski, and Alpha as far as pockets go.
So I decided to settle my mind, and sent them back to Swarovski, who were very helpful. They forwarded my binos to Austria, and 4 weeks later I got them back.
Anyway, they were definately slightly out, as there is no issue now, a very relaxed view, and the focuser is as good as I have ever experienced.

So I would say to anyone who has any doubts whatsoever with your optics, get them looked at. These are expensive high end optical instruments, and need to be perfect, or you may as well spend half the amount on mid level stuff and put up with it.
I now have two pairs of hand adjusted and fettled binos, both top of their game.

Interestingly my Zeiss 8x42 conquests, which I sold to help towards the above binos, were perfect from the off. Should have kept them!!!! :D(y)
