Though I’m new to birding, I have familiarity with optics from many years of stargazing. These binoculars are near alpha quality at a far more modest price.
The color rendition is vivid, the focus wheel is buttery smooth and precise.
The daytime image is razor sharp from edge to edge.
When stargazing I do note a bit of softness past about 80% - but this softness is not bothersome.
The weight is average for 42mm but they are well balanced and feel very good in the hands.
They are a delight to use.
