    I have been shooting in jpeg,but I thought I would shoot in raw,but I can't open the file,I use APE.7 and canon zoombrowser,and both come up with "can not open, incorrect file??? or words to that. Do I need another make photo shop?, When I had the 40d I was able to open raw files easy. And...

    This shot was taken with the light/sun in the wrong direction,ie. in front of me,I did try stopping up, but then the bird just blew out,I have attached a before and after, both have had a crop. The after image has been addjusted by useing the "fill flash" function,do you think the image "after"...

    had some bad luck today,well, and some good,my tripod fell over,my 40d did not recover,niether did the 1.4 ext,BUT the lens is ok,the camera body took the the brunt.     addvice with 1.4 ext

    What I would like to know is this, I use a canon ef f4.500 L IS USM lens,I will be getting a 1.4 ext.mk11.now I understand that the AF. will work,but will the lens still go to f4.? and any hints/tips on how to get the best from this set up?are there any down sides to this,??     I am sure this is a pipit,but I can't sort out what one,but then again, it may not be a pipit at all, This photo was taken at rspb Tichwell,I should say quite common,as there were about 8 or 12 on the marshy ground

    Trying to get a 3D affect

    I have seen some photos in the gallery that can in a way make the bird/image have a 3d feel about it,well I keep trying to get a shot with that affect,by useing the branches in the F/ground that are out of focus,but to get the bird in focus behind those branches,(hope you get what I am saying)...

    I have seen a 2nd hand canon 2x converter for sale, it's a Mk1, the new 2x is a Mk11, is the Mk11, any better,if yes, in what way,and if I were to buy a 2nd. hand Mk1,would this be as good as a Mk11.
