Cream Wave? (1 Viewer)

Hi.

I would be grateful for any help.

Is this a Cream Wave Scopula floslactata. It's a little worn, wing shape looks good, cross lines as far as they are visible look alright and so is size and flight season. One book mentions "black dots faint or absent"

The reason I am asking is, this is a very scarce moth in the northern half of Ireland, here in the northwest the last recorded was June 1989, there are also two historic records, no date or location though. It's scarcity may be partly due to lack of coverage. Many Thanks.

Dwarf Cream Wave is not recorded in Ireland. I should have said it was same size as Common Wave/CommonWhite Wave. I caught a number of each of these the same day.

I couldn't readily identify this so I photographed it to work on later. I came to the conclusion that it was a Cream Wave. I may be wrong, but that doesn't matter as long as someone puts me right. Thanks for your reply.
