Mandarin (male) on the pond at Rowheath park, Bournville. First reported 7pm by Trever Jones, still present 8.20pm

Still present 7pm this evening.
Speaking to local folks who've seen it over the last couple of days, there's a strong possibility that it's been hand-reared as it appears happy enough less than 10 ft away at times.

Still, an interesting change of scene for Rowheath.

Did anyone connect with the SLAVONIAN GREBE at Bartley after Rob on Friday.....I went early and late on Saturday but no sightings.

Myself and another birder saw it at about 1830 on Friday evening. Spending a lot of time feeding and seemed to be catching lots of small prey itemis. Presumably moved off overnight on Friday.
