Could be female redstart or female black redstart as colours too washed out to tell. I suppose the greyish tone leans towards black.

The colors are not as washed out as you think, It was a very pale bird this is my problem with the ID.
It did not have a buff red orange breast.

Got me and a very capable birder confused at the scene.

Quick description, Brown wings, Very pale front rather monotone.
Behavior Dipped tail when in flight.
