Don't think so - they're just monitoring it on site, not taking it into captivity :t:

Monitoring it for what? Its a seal on a beach, there are thousands round the UK. It doesn't need extra monitoring just because its from somewhere else.

(In addition to which I reckon their success rate is not brilliant: the survival rate of stranded whales/dolphins etc would change very little if they stopped operating.)
