I won't be down today so could someone video and take stills of all the work at Amy's Marsh . Put on here and Twitter as people are very interested in how things are progressing.
The work should be completed by Friday.

just some pics from this evening with my tiny camera. Many thanks to all in the main hide for the previous history and keen eyesight, quite an exciting time with a large slice of luck for me, thinking of leaving i walked down and sat in the cuckoo hide, the SEO flew towards the hide and landed on the old bird feeder station for 10 seconds then flew in front and onward towards the main hide.

Work at the Moors progressing well, a lttle disturbance to the birds, but a feww Mallard were taking advantage of the dredging and following the machines almost to a suicidal degree!

Focus of attention for a diminished Wednesday crew today was the Flashes and a Short-eared Owl that disappeared at 10:15 and did not reappear until circa 16:30. Showing well when it was there. Other predators included 3 Buzzard & a Peregrine. Waders included 2 Dunlin, 2 Green Sands, 1 Common Sand, 1 Curlew, 6+ Snipe & 235 Lapwing. Others included 3 Teal, Raven & Jay. At one point the Sailing Pool held a flock of 94 Greylag Geese and a Grey Wagtail was also present. Only 29 species logged. MJI, JHWR, JS
 
No reports of the Short-eared Owl today.

234 Lapwing, 4 Snipe, 2 Dunlin, Green Sand, Common Sand, Little Egret, 10 Teal and 2 Meadow Pipit at the Flashes this morning as per Andy P.
 
At the Moors Pool this morning Andy P reported:

Green Sandpiper, Snipe, 2 Little Egret, 18 Teal, 16 Shoveler, 5 Pochard, 3 Gadwall, Wigeon, Water Rail.
