Can someone confirm my ID please?

Is this the 'rare' long winged form, said to be more common during hot summers?

It isn't something I expected to get here, so close to the City.

Thanks in advance.

It is form diluta of Roesel's Bush-cricket. Though not as common as the brachypterous form I don't find it "rare". It's a species that's shown a phenomenal increase in range over the last couple of decades. It's probably in every suitable meadow in + around London, so no surprise you've found it in the city centre. Worth looking out for Long-winged Coneheads as they are often found in similar places.
