Hi,

My 'walk about' camera has given up the ghost, so I thought I might try and get just one camera to replace it and the Nikon Coolpix 4500 I currently use for digiscoping (I know, I know...... its a bit 'old hat' these days - but so is the rest of my 'kit' and I can't afford to replace most of it!).

The scope I have is a Nikon ED78 Fieldscope, and I use a Nikon DS eyepiece and attach the Coolpix to it using an Eagle eye adaptor. A camera I could use without having to replace any of these would be a real bonus!

Now, I know as much about cameras as I do about building a house on Mars, so please be gentle with me!

Oh, and my budget is about £200!

I have read the thread on the P300 and posted a question. As long as the view through the screen is good, with little or no reflection problems, then it looks as if it would be ideal for me.

Thank you so much for your reply.
