Not on Bird track Dave. That is a fault of the system if no accountability of the records submitted cannot be traced to source.

Both of those reports (and all previous records) are from the same observer and relate to the grid square over the RSPB centre. Obviously no Tree Sparrows exist on the reserve, nor anywhere in WM county (presumed extinct). This observer has reported them multiple times, however funnily enough doesn't include House Sparrow on any complete lists from the site...

Tree Sparrow

The last confirmed record for the Valley was of seven birds in February 2005 and the last confirmed breeding was in 2000.

See RSPB Sandwell `Sightings` for 9th Oct 2017. As Craig says this is the umpteenth time they have been reported here!

Late news yesterday
salters area 2 late swallows loads of Redwing going through 3 stonechat 2 male could have bin Petes from Friday on browns, 10 pied wags in the paddocks several siskin and redpol with a couple of skylark going over per John Clarke

Forge Mill: 35 Goosander at dusk. 32 Gadwall, 15 Teal, 13 Shoveler, Pintail. 21 Cormorant, 4+ Water Rail. 40 Lapwing, 4 Jack Snipe, 3 Snipe. 22 Parakeets, 5 Chiffchaff, Redwing, Redpoll, Siskin, Meadow Pipit. 300 Jackdaw to roost and a Noctule Bat per Pete Hackett
