Urgent! (Sort-of) Need help to compress a wav video... (1 Viewer)

colonelboris

Right way up again
If anyone could help me compress a 2.8 mb video to something a little more downloadable, I'd really, really appreciate it.
It's for something birding-related, but a bit confidential at the moment...

Hi Colonelboris,
Try 'Googling' TMPGenc, it's a program for converting AVI videofiles to MPEG...it used to be free but I think you can download a free 30-day trial.

downlaoding right now...
Thanks!

I'll let the secret out now - it's for the 'Steve Irwin' IBWO video in the Ivorybill thread...
The original's 2.8 mb and is killing my bandwidth...

Have you tried zipping it, or you could download a simple program called WinRAR.

Free download here.

Hi,

I am a little confused by the term Wav video in the title. Wav files are audio files AFAIK so if you need to convert an audio file then maybe a wav to mp3 tool is needed. For video conversion, IMHO, this is the most useful site for conversion guides on the web:

I'm sure you can find a conversion utility/tutorial that will suit your purpose.

Hope that helps.
