Zen-Ray ZRS v. Vanguard ED Endeavor (1 Viewer)

Has anyone used both or done a comparison between the 8x42 versions of these models? I have the Vanguard, and not too happy with it...too much CA and very poor balance, perhaps because of the open bridge design. No complaints otherwise.

I'm seriously considering a switch, but would like an opinion or two.

I'd seriously consider waiting till ZR gets their new ZRS HD to market. Should be a couple of months. I've never tried a Vanguard, but am pretty happy with the ZRS as are a couple of people who I have given as gifts.

The current ZRS is bright, sharp, and small for a 42 mm. It does things well I normally wouldn't expect from a sub $300 binocular. I'm not your best source of advice in regards to CA, as it does not bother me.
