Hi all. These were taken on the Farr Road in Scotland yesterday morning. Is it a Mountain Hare and if so could you give me some pointers as to why please?

I've left the first photo in as my wife spotted it. I'd have driven straight by:-O

Many ThanksB :)

Yes, it's a Mountain Hare. Ears shorter than head. Also more compact, rounded silhouette than Brown Hare. There are others ways to separate them e.g. tail colour etc.

Hope this helps
