May well of been. It was head hight with me so i was tossing up between hobby and merlin.
Sounds like it could've been a Merlin perhaps.

The only recording tool I use because it adds to the records for the BTO atlas and generally informs about bird population trends. It also gives you funky graphs and stats for your own records which some people like apparently

I thought about it but that's as far as I got.Thanks Geoff - you didn't happen to count the Lapwing? Think my figure of 565 was an undercount as they were flushed as I neared the end.
I think we should all use Bird track. But having to post on here, twitter and make my own meticulous notes I just haven't got time, but I will make an effort this year:t:.
