Question, will chicken wire keep starlings out of my bird feeder and still let in chickadees and finches ? Gave up on feeding birds last winter after hundreds of starlings would show up and clean both my feeders out in less than an hour. Any suggestions ?

Hi Doug and welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. Can’t answer your question you might want to post in the birds and birding forum.

Hi Doug and welcome aboard.

Yes, it will probably keep the Starlings out but they can always fly over it and drop down and it might keep Cardinals and birds similar is size away from the feeders.
