Red kite in Cheshire (1 Viewer)

Today - just about noon I saw this. Supposedly only seen in Cheshire close to the Welsh Border. It was 1 mile out of Wilmslow town centre abone a field being cut for haylage.
I'm guessing it was looking for dead mammals killed by the mowing. But what was it doing so far from where it has been sighted before ?

Hi,

Kites get all over the place & will cover a 100 miles in a few hours - I used to see the odd one in Lymm when I lived there.
Always great to see away from their usual hotspots.
Getting more common now, so it won't be your last.
