Hello from Colorado (1 Viewer)

I'm from Maysville, Colorado. A old mining area outside Salida and about 10 miles from the continental divide. My father was an old time birder and traveled throughout the Americas and Europe. I've gotten more into it as we winter some in Mexico and the birds there are spectacular. This last February we spent an hour taking pictures of an Oscellated Turkey just outside our camper in the parking lot near(20 miles) from the Calakmul mayan ruins and many pictures of a snail kite perched on a gnarly branch in Laguna Bacalar not far from Chetumal.

We also use our excuses of finding birds and waterfalls for wandering around some of the backcountry and mountains of Mexico and going where few tourist bother to travel.

I have enjoyed lurking on the forum a lot as I consider a camera for some pictures. Thank you all.

Mike
