I apologise for the photograph its the only one I have and the birds were really much to far away for my camera. Photographed near Cabourg, France a couple of weeks ago.

Could well be, real plastic ducks. I fondly remember a chap informing me not to put out a report of a drake pintail he had seen in the corner of a bed at Slough Sewage Farm in the 80s. Another local birder said, " Yes he's right. (long pause for effect). It's behind the bar in the Shepherds Hut."
Surprisingly, the sighting wasn't put forward to the Berkshire Bird Recorder.
 
That thought did cross my mind until I saw a number of other birds moving in the area. Silly me I promise I will try harder next time. This would have been a good location for someone with a better camera, younger eyes and can tell the difference between a real bird and a plastic one.
