Cape May, NJ Hawkwatch (1 Viewer)

This past Friday was a great day to be at the Cape May hawkwatch. They counted a total of 1881 raptors. There were 2 bald eagles - an adult and an immature - I was lucky enough to see both of them. There were kettles of turkey vultures everywhere you looked and the reward for looking closely were numbers of red tails and red shoulders. You can get the counts for many of the hawkcounts at http://hawkcount.org/ The Cape may count in posted there most days.

Another treat while looking for hawks in Cape May is seeing the flocks of commorants and snow geese passing overhead.
