RSPB Middleton Lakes (1 Viewer)

Hobby

Three Hobbies still around yesterday. One adult hunting along trees near to the entrance at Bodymoor, and at least two around the RSPB ( both juvs ).

Quite a few Dragonflies still around, Butterflies too, and nice to see the Hornets are still in and around the Woodland.

Its been a while since ive been here, once a sturdy regular to the area. Good to see the work that the RSPB has done and look forward to watching the reserve develop over time.

2/10/13 Middleton Hall pool Green Sandpiper.
Newreedbed pit Garganey PDH
at 12:30 a wader group containing juv Curlew Sandpiper, juv Little Stint, 2 Ruff, Dunlin and Ringed Plover flew south over Fisher's mill to KWP North.
