Western Osprey in Djibouti? (1 Viewer)

Dear Members and bird watchers

Daylight was breaking this morning and I discovered what I´m as sure someone can be that I was seeing a Western Osprey.

The only bird of prey I know of with a white head and dark bands over the eyes. But, it looked to have a crest, especially in picture #4, so I was unsure.

Then I got to think about the strong wind and maybe it was the wind creating the "CREST" Anyone here that can be kind to confirm the identity of the Western Osprey.

Kind regards and happy birding
Aladdin

Nothing to confuse it with really. Good shots.

Hi again aeshna5!

Please forget my previous post. In my identification, there is nothing mentioned about any crest. But now I look up the bird here at the OPUS on bird forum. And it is CLEARLY stated:
Rather prominant nape crest

So I think I will start using the birdforum OPUS

Kind regards
Aladdin
