Had to send in my wife's Victory 10x40, almost an "oldtimer" one could say. The original strap fastening was worn out such that the strap could accidentally unhook. Instead of simply providing new fasteners, Zeiss had some time ago decided to convert the attachment to a more traditional lug. At the same time they did a cleaning service, and also added a complimentary new strap.
While this binocular was at Zeiss, my wife used my FL 8x42. Unlike me, she needs to extend the eyepieces. So we found out that one of them no longer functioned properly. Well Zeiss thus added a pair free of charge when they returned the 10x40.
The whole service did not cost us anything, and we were - again - very pleased with the friendly tone on the phone.
Swarovski has long been famous for such great service. Meanwhile, Zeiss has strengthened its own reputation for way over a decade as well, at least here in Switzerland. :t:
