Hi everyone,
One of my birder friends took these pics at the western area of Turkey recently. Can u help him to identify them please? Thank u in advance...

First one is Eleonora's Falcon, 3-5 are all Marsh Harrier. Not sure about the kestrel in the second pic.

agree on Eleonora's and Marsh Harrier, 3 looks Short-toed Eagle to me (with strange black spot)
Kestrel is difficult as moulting primaries, wing formula not useful, moustache well visible but hardly any supercilium behind eye, rather strong primary markings make me think Common

For me, the bird is flying away and the strange black spot is a shadow from the left wing. Also showing a pale crown whilst the general impression is a Marsh Harrier.

Now I get where Tom was coming from! o:)
I really strugled to see the STE/underparts ilusion but it's a funny one (I managed to "see" it after looking for it). The photo shows the upperparts though, and a Marsh Harrier for me as well as Pyrtle says above.

Of course a Marsh Harrier flying away!
