Whilst out for a stroll today I managed to get a picture of a bird in some nearby bushes (pic attached).
I'm pretty sure it's some kind of warbler.
I can't decide if it's a chiff chaff or whitethroat. Or maybe something else?
There were two or three of them. They kept hoping about, starting deep in the leaves, then making their way to the top, before launching and landing on an overhanging oak branch, and then back to their bush.
Frustratingly it wasn't making the distinctive song of either a chiff chaff or whitethroat. That would have made life much easier.
Instead the only sound it was making was a monosyllabic 'chip' sound, with perhaps a second or two between each 'chip'.
Love to know what it is.
Cheers
