Looking at the recent IOC list Chinese Blackbird Turdus mandarinus is now split from Common Blackbird. Seen in Macau on the 24th February.

A week trip in Norfolk in Titchwell village. Some great birding and 102 species seen in total.

8th August - RSPB Titchwell

238) Ruff - 55 on the freshwater marsh
239) Little Stint - 1
240) Bearded Tit - a flock of at least 12
241) Turnstone - many on the beach
242) Common Scoter - 1 on the shore
243) Gannet - 3 flying far out
244) Fulmar - 1
245) Bar-tailed Godwit - 1 in summer plumage
246) Red-crested Pochard - 2 in the reedbeds
247) Marsh Harrier - 1 female
 
9th August

248) Coal Tit - 2 at Wells Wood
249) Spoonbill - 14 on the freshwater marsh at Titchwell
250) Curlew Sandpiper - 1 adult briefly then flew south
 
10th August Titchwell

251) Knot - 2 summer plumage birds on the shoreline
252) Egyptian Goose - many at the lake at Holkham
253) Barnacle Goose - I think these count as a naturalized established species, many at Holkham and seen at Pensthorpe.
 
11th August - Cley and Titchwell

254) European Golden Plover - 12 at Cley
255) White-rumped Sandpiper - 1 feeding in a group with Dunlin on the freshwater marsh at Titchwell. First time I have seen one in the UK.
