My old stomping grounds. 40 years ago Raven and Egyptian Goose would have been unheard of (as with Buzzard, Red Kite & Little Egret) but I have a copy of Birds of Hatfield Forest around here somewhere that would have had multiple territories of birds that I suspect are now extinct - Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Willow Tit, Turtle Dove, Tree Sparrow, etc...

Edit - memories pricked so I dug both of these off the shelf & took some pics.

Thanks for digging those out and uploading, was very interesting to see. Certainly never seen those four species there and a couple of the others mentioned, I used to see the odd LSW in Birchanger Woods but not recently :(
