Photo Backpack recommendation for 400mm lens (1 Viewer)

Hello everybody,
after searching and using several backpacks, I'm still looking for the definitive one.

This time, I would like to get a small and light backpack, where to fit my camera body with the 400mm f/5.6 attached (and hood extended?!) and have some room left for a compact travelscope.
I had a look at the Lowepro Scope Travel 200AW, which could fit my needs in terms of length and width but I'm afraid its depth is not enough for my 1d series camera.

Does anybody have tried this kit or can suggest some good alternatives?

Thank you very much,
Max
