Bunch of color bands vs. a single ANB (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

I posted this photo in one of my replies in this thread http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=323436. See that thread to read more explanations and discussion. Then I realized that I may to post it here to show benefits of using ANBs instead of bunch of color bands that make not only bird looking like a ‘Christmas tree’ but also can increase chances of injuries to the legs and make more difficult to collect record of full sets on both legs (Piping Plovers love to rest and hop on one leg, puff the plumage etc., making impossible to see all bands). As we can see even so called ‘not field readable’ ANB can be perfectly documented in photos.

Cheers,

Mark
