Recovery of files from a faulty memory card. (1 Viewer)

seggs

Alrite!
Today when I turned the 7D on a error-02 flashed up ( connect to pc or something like that also) . Being as I've never seen this before I just turned the camera off and took the unformatted Fujifilm 8gb memory card out and put it back in. Turned the camera back on and it worked fine...never give it another thought and clicked about 300 shots off. Got home and discovered the files will not go into the pc. via the camera link up or with a memory card reader.

Can anyone recommend a way to recover the files from this memory card.?

I've used this free software with success in the past - https://www.piriform.com/recuva/download - but success presupposes that the card is readable at all. If the card has suffered file system corruption you might be able to retrieve the files, but if it's hardware failure you may get nothing. With the modest price of cards these days it might be wise to invest in a new one for future safety.
