RFI - beavers in/around Munich (1 Viewer)

hello all

I'm going to be in Munich for a day or two later this month. It looks like beavers are at least sometimes seen in or near the city.

Does anyone have tips for good spots to look? I won;t have a car.

thanks
James

Hi James,

I am a local. The blasted beavers can be found "anywhere" along the river Isar.

In Munich you do not need a car. Just hop on the Underground or take the S-Bahn (fast train).

Good spots are close to the zoo Hellabrunn, at the Tucherpark side of the Englischer Garten and anywhere along the Isar in the North up to Ismaning.

I just googled some and there was a tour by the local adult education centre to watch the beavers in Ismaning only in March. Meeting point was Ismaning/Fischerhäuser, vor Gasthof Erber, Freisinger Str. 83. Apparently beavers are resident there. Take the S-Bahn from city center for instance.

Good luck in spotting them this time of the year.

Hi Herona

That's very clear and helpful, thank you.

What time do the U-bahn and S-bahn run to in the evening?

best
James
