Trek-Tech`s Trek Pod (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I am considering this trek pod monopod/tripod/walking pole as a do-it-all-in-one for use with my scope and camera.
Has anyone got one ?
I`ve checked out the website but I am interested in some personal reviews of this item. I have some questions too. How secure is the mechanism to keep the three legs together and what are they tipped with, with regards to wear ?
Is it as good as it appears to be ?

Andy, you're more likely to get feedback if you included a link to the info in your posting, although I suppose you figured that folks who have the pod wouldn't need a link.
