Has anyone been looking for the 'Azorean type' Gull since Wednesday at Grafham.? Could this be the same bird from 2011 that spent time in Beds/Cambs as some of these big gulls live for 25 years or more. Just been looking at the video clips again; hope to see it over the weekend.....

Grafham Water. 1 Nov. Great White Egret flew in to western end but chased around by a Grey Heron at 0850. May have gone down in Savages creek but lost behind trees

Grafham Water 1 Nov cont'd late afternoon the dark hooded 'yellow-legged type' or Azorean type gull in the roost. Certainly looked like the Northants bird as photographed by MA just recently at Stanwick on the Northants bird club web site. May have some record shots later tonight

Excellent couple of hours prior to dusk at Eldernell with the 20 Crane doing a couple of flypasts. Also Cracking male Hen Harrier, 1 Short eared Owl and 2 Barn Owl.

Grafham water Sat 8 Nov. Bewick's Swan x3. In Dudney creek plus 3 Ruff Valley creek. Water level dropping rapidly at the moment so lowest all Autumn.

I'm also wondering where at Fordham to try and see the Richard's Pipit. Is it anywhere near where the Golden Oriole used to be?

Sean
