SE Asia trip for the holidays - I like to get the feel for cities and travel on my own, but often meeting up with a bird guide for a day / half-day here and there is immensely enriching.

Any recommendations for bird guide types near the following cities?
Seoul, South Korea
Hanoi, Vietnam
Ha Giang, Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Siem Reap, Cambodia
Angkor Wat, Cambodia
Phu Quoc, Vietnam
Mekong Delta area, Vietnam
Con Dao Islands, Vietnam

Hi Alex,

I've gone out a couple times in the Seoul area with ByoungWoo Lee. He runs a company called Eco Bird Tour (ecobirdtour.co.kr) although the webpage is in Korean only. His email is [email protected] and his mobile # is 010-4935-8441. He also runs a group on meetup.com called Birdwatching in Korea for Foreigners.

He'll do target birding or just general birding, half day or whole day. He knows the birds and where to find them. Tell him I sent you.

FWIW, there are a lot of good birding spots accessible from the Seoul Metro system. PM if you have some targets or ask ByoungWoo.
