    In contrast to the introduced pigeon finding its natural environment, here we have an endemic duck adapting to an artificial lake. Spectacular water, but it doesn't look to have a lot for dabbling ducks to eat, does it?

    Endemic, also known as Black Teal or Papango. My field guide describes this cute little teal as having a rounded toy rubber duckie profile. Female is rather browner and without the distinguishing golden yellow eye of the male. But I rather liked the water reflections in this shot.
