  1. Unnoticed

    Unnoticed

I'd not noticed the Lewin's Honeyeater behind the Green Catbird until this morning, when I spotted a moving white spot as I scrolled through my images. So did a pretty big crop and adjusted some levels and he popped out a bit.

    Citrus treat

Hans pinched my clementine to feed the Green Catbirds, this one was very quick to come in for it. Rather beautiful birds these and the only place I saw them.
  3. Bowing

    Bowing

.... well this Green Catbird is about to take a drink from the water hole, so caught him as he started. I didn't see them actually drinking too often, guess they got most of their moisture from the clementine pieces Hans provided for them.
  4. Purr!

    Purr!

Hans' forest waterhole was the only place I saw Green Catbird. A shame really as they're so colourful.

The sound was so strange but interesting to me that I wanted to film them with their calls on video. So, in the end I managed to take some videos of the catbirds, and -...

Of course, it couldn't be long before the Catbird arrived to savour the clementines LOL Just managed to grab this picture before he flew off with it, as was his wont.

It's difficult to pick favourites visiting the waterhole, but this catbird was a bit of a star. Well a bit of a character, anyway!!

    This'll do

With everyday being almost the same just now, I just can't keep track of which day is which!! It's Saturday, isn't it? So this Green Catbird arrived to see what food Hans had supplied in his restaurant and decided this piece of Mandarin was just right. It looks a bit big for him to me LOL So...
  9. On his own now

    On his own now

A wee break in proceedings and I started fiddling with my new camera!!! He is even more stunning close up, isn't he. That zoom really is amazing.

These Green Catbirds are the most beautiful colour I think. He showed well with the Regent Bowerbird behind him.
