A handsome bird but not popular owing to its aggressive nature, which drives away other small birds in the neighbourhood.

Although Noisy Miners are quite handsome birds, they are not popular - they're very aggressive and drive most other smaller birds away. They can muscle up to Magpies and Kookaburras and puff out their chest and pretend they're tough - the other birds totally ignore them! Quite funny sometimes!

  6. Noisy Miner

    Noisy Miner

I am in Australia for near 6 months and I observed that it is not much possible to see a raven or raptor alone. There is always one or more noisy mynas/miners around to annoy.

    Feathered Security Guard

Noisy Miner, This bird appointed itself to follow me and keep the bird world informed of my movements. It succeeded in making sure that I photographed no other birds that day. I got lots of shots of the Miner though.
