    In the village of Adeje on the walk to the Barranco Del Infernio ther is an open water tank or disused swimmnig pool about 20 metres by 10 metres right next to the path.4 of these and 2 grey wagtail were playing round the edges.

    These were in good numbers within the Tiede National Park. This poor bird wasn't singing but got a small piece of rock or something? jammed in its throat which it frantically tried to shake out but it did pause for a split second for me to take advantage!!

    Las Lajas picnic site, N of Vilaflor, is the best place to get good views/shots. Go before mid morning when birds are more active. This one was eating a Canary Pine seed - their main diet. Blue Tit, Canary, Tenerife Kinglet, GS Woodpecker are also easily seen here.
