1.4x Teleconverter for Sigma 135-400mm lens? (1 Viewer)

Hi there, I'm new on this forum so this question may already have been answered somewhere else.

Does anyone know of any 1.4 TC that works with the Sigma 135-400? I've searched around various forums but I don't see this lens referenced in any list, published by Sigma or other sources. I'm using it on a Pentax K10D and want just a leeeeeetle bit more reach...

Thanks,
C-man

Hi, welcome to birdforum.

I also have this lens.

Birdforum member Mike from ebbw uses a Kenko 1.4X teleconverter on the same lens and has great results, im sure he will reply later.

Here are a few ( hope you dont mind mike! )

As with any lens + tc, you need good light and good skill, but it seems there is the potential for great pics.

No problem Steve.(saved me the trouble of attaching them, cheers!)

Hi Redux, welcome to the Birdforum. As Steve has already said you need good light to retain detail but the potential is there for some decent shots.I got mine from UR GALAXY on ebay.It was half the UK retail price and arrived from China within six days.

redux, sorry been away for a while so a bit late reading your post.

Sigma do make a 1.4 converter in Pentax fit, probaby around $85-$90 I remember seeing one on ebay recently, a dealer in NY as I recal, I was considering buying it myself.
