What did Opticron replace the HR WP 10x26 compact binocular with ? I understand it was stopped production a couple of years ago. This or its replacement might be suitable for me to slip into my pocket on our daily walk. When not out "proper" birding our walks take us near residential areas and it always seems a bit intrusive with full size bins round my neck so I was thinking of something to look less like a peeping tom

We do still have a couple of HR WP on the shelf and on offer here:

There was no direct replacement mainly because the growth in 8x30/32 binoculars meant there wasn't really space for a (relatively) large compact binocular. It was also very hard to find an optics partner that could make something comparable to the HR WP at the right price.

Cheers, Pete

Thanks for coming back on that Pete it made a lot of sense business wise. Yesterday I tried a neighbours Taiga 8x25,socially distanced of course, and was very impressed with them,I think the 10x version would suit my needs very well, just need to find a local supplier here in N. Yorkshire or Opticron may be getting my Christmas phone call.
