A Black-tailed Godwit has been found at Brazoria NWR. It was found Sunday June 3rd and was still there as of this morning. Should anyone want to go see the bird, take a look at Texbirds and look for the posts with directions and take note of the posts detailing where to park since th elocals have been calling the cops on the birders. Yes, actually calling the cops because they don't like the presence of birders as they drive by....go figure!
If you eBird, check out the maps for the postings on the alerts - it will show you the checklist as well as give you GPS locations for the spot where the godwit is hanging out. Many good photos confirming ID. This is a Russian bird normally, so good for it to show up here!!!
