The guide swore #1 was a Common Ground Dove. I got home, looked at the pics, and thought Inca Dove, based on the tail and overall "scaly" feathering. Would love some more opinions, because I'm new to AZ and may be completely wrong.

1 is indeed an Inca Dove, with that longer tail and scaly look.
2 is actually a gnatcatcher, and the tail pattern suggests Black-tailed.
