Hello all,

I stumbled across this great presentation on YouTube about last spring's Eilat migration. Some really staggering numbers, especially the thousands of Corncrakes! The first 20 minutes or so have most of the migration report, but much of the other presentation is highly informative about the site, significance, conservation efforts, and more.

I signed up for a trip there in 2020. It was postponed to 2021...then 2022. It's now scheduled for 2023. 🤬

I'm wondering whether the birds were held up by the drought on the horn of Africa and finally changed their migration route - hence much bigger numbers in Eilat - i.e. a slightly more westerly route

Easier and much cheaper to do it independently in my opinion. A wonderful birding place.
