A day on Teeside (1 Viewer)

Had a jaunt up to the Teeside area today with the goal of seeing the Caspian Tern at Saltholme, which I managed to see quite well. I've seen these birds in Israel and Gambia so it was nice to add it to my British list.
Whilst in the area I also went to Greatham Creek, Seal Sands and South Gare near Redcar.
The bird of the day was of course the Caspian Tern but some other highlights included Black-Tailed Godwit, Bar-Tailed Godwit, Whimbrel, Barnacle Goose, Sandwich & Common Terns, Dunlin, Sanderling and Avocet among other birds. Also, plenty of Grey Seals at Seal Sands.

Overall a decent day.

Cheers and Good Birding

Andy:)
