A good singer really "lets go" at the end
 
Wood pigeon call sounds a bit like 'I did(hold for 2 secs)n't do it' and collared dove replies 'you did' while turtle dove just purrrs in the background.
 
It always used to be said that a Turtle Dove sounds like a trim-phone but I'm not sure anyone knows what a trim-phone sounds like these days (apart from those who already know what a Turtle Dove sounds like I guess).
