A shot in the dark ID request (1 Viewer)

Going through my stacks of images, I rediscovered this bracket fungus image.
Obviously on birch, taken May 2012, down the Dart Valley at Newbridge.
Best I can suggest is very young birch polypore (Fomitopsis betulina). Do any other brackets populate birch?

I'm sure you can get other brackets on Betula species but I think these look good for Birch Polypore.

Yes, they're fine 👍🏻 The lower one is youngish, but I wouldn't call the upper one young at all - that's the mature shape.
