Advice wanted on choosing a new recorder (1 Viewer)

So my recorder broke down again. I already sent it for repair a few months ago for a new usb portal, but now it won't switch on at all. I'm done with the thing and was thinking to upgrade anyway. This is what I'm looking for.

- Comparable or better sound quality as the Tascam DR100mk3

- Being able to operate the recorder from some distance with an app/Bluetooth or something similar.

- Sturdy design for intesive usage in- and outdoors (almost daily during migration)

- XLR port(s) for external microphone(s)

- Not to large. I want to use it for actively birding (warblers) while walking, as well as stationary migration watching and nocmig.

- Price โ‚ฌ500-ish max.

Hoping for some advice. Cheers.

Well, I tend to switch to another brand because my recent experiences with Tascam are not that positive. Still not sure why my DR100 doesn't switch on at the moment, but that's a different subject...

In the meantime I ordered a Zoom F3 with the bluetooth adapter.
Not having a recorder in this time of the year almost feels like missing a limb
;)
